America claims to be the society of rebels, every American loves to think of themselves as rebellious. America is a country born of the American Revolution and Baptised by the Industrial Revolution; marked by countless cultural revolutions throughout its day. Despite this positive opinion of rebelliousness on paper, America is often very hostile to its rebels. America creates situations where rebels are tried thoroughly and often given disadvantages. Largely, the American Experience for the people who have views contradictory to that of most others is one of difficulty. It is to fight an uphill battle, to work ten times harder than others, and, in many cases, to fail in your rebelliousness. America is of a social climate that is inhospitable to rebellion and chang. Because of that climate, the majority of notable rebels in American History have either been failed in their rebellions or seen victory only after accomplishing nearly insurmountable tasks.
